Job Title: Senior Loan Processor

Job Location: Ewing, NJ or Remote             

Reports To: Processing Manager

Compensation: $55K+, commensurate with experience

OVERVIEW

Princeton Mortgage seeks to hire a Loan Processor to report directly to the Processing Manager. The Loan Processor has three main objectives:

  • Perform a comprehensive review of the loan prior to approval

  • Communicate what is needed to close the loan after approval

  • Deliver an Effortless Experience to all parties from start to finish

QUALIFICATIONS

The type of person who would do well in this job is someone with:

  • Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA and USDA loan experience

  • A minimum of two years of loan processing experience

  • Expert customer service skills and telephone etiquette

  • Previous experience with the Encompass loan origination system

  • General knowledge of all areas of the mortgage industry and the loan process from start to finish

  • An upbeat & positive personality

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

This person is the glue that holds the loan together. The Loan Processor works through challenging scenarios and ensures that everyone involved is informed and the borrower is left with an Effortless Mortgage Experience.

  • Managing a loan pipeline by meeting deadlines reflected in real estate contracts and working within management established turnaround times

  • Working effectively with internal loan officers, underwriters, and closers

  • Understanding Conventional and Government guidelines

  • Calculating various forms of income

  • Ordering and reviewing appraisal and title reports

  • Collecting, reviewing, and indexing acceptable documentation in a timely manner

  • Understanding AUS feedback

  • Contacting borrowers, realtors, title agents, etc. with a phone call-first mentality

  • Ensuring that all loans are cleared and released to the closing department with adequate time to meet the expected closing date

  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, in addition to company policies and procedures

  • Demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity in all internal and external interactions with employees and customers.

  • Ensuring that data integrity exists with every transaction.

  • Performing other duties as assigned
