THE ROLE

Princeton Mortgage is searching for a Head of Wholesale to lead our Wholesale Team. In this role, you will cultivate relationships with new brokers, grow market share, and coach the Wholesale Team into top producers. The Head of Wholesale will actively contribute to our culture of freedom and responsibility. The ideal candidate has heavy mortgage experience, most of which should be in wholesale, and strong skills in sales management. Our Head of Wholesale will take pride in their work, and leave our customers with a remarkable Princeton Mortgage experience.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related degree preferred

  • At least seven years of mortgage work experience, including four recent years in wholesale sales management

  • A growth mindset - an aptitude for upskilling and training

  • Strong Encompass experience

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain a positive team environment that is highly efficient and productive, rewards performance excellence, and is supportive of the Princeton culture and values

  • Continually grow market share

  • Form relationships with new brokers

  • Ensure that the team lead and Account Executives understand the departmental goals and the role of the department in achieving Princeton’s business objectives

  • Train and upskill team members to earn additional responsibilities--both as part of their self-development, and as part of the department goals to develop internal talent

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff in conformance with company policies

  • Head of Wholesale may be expected to produce depending on years of experience

  • Other Duties as assigned

 

SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain effective work relationships with employees and management team

  • Must be able to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment and applying standards consistent with company policies, procedures, regulations, and state/federal laws as applicable to the mortgage banking industry

  • The ability to handle difficult and challenging situations while juggling multiple priorities is required

  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
